Ishpeming – March 7, 2013 – Spring is KINDA here in the Upper Peninsula and it’s time to fall some trees before the sap begins to run. I mean it’s time to cut. People are cutting down South, but the SAP is already running down there.
Sure there is some snow yet in Negaunee, down South the trees look a bit alive unlike in the U>P>. Just earlier this week, we were just down South and out East.
My friends chain saw was out, and the chain is sharp, and he is ready to go.
I noticed Stihl has safety guideline stickers on the saw. ITS A NEW STIHL CHAINSAW WARNING LABEL SAFETY PICTOGRAM DECAL STICKER # 0000-967-3662. In looking at the sticker I saw:
- read the manual,
- be careful,
- don’t pop wheelies with your saw,
- and to wear hearing and eye protection.
I have noticed, these saws start hard in March. The cool weather kinda makes things turn over harder. And I noticed my friend was getting a bit liberal with his saw so I took a picture.
Ahh I see the problem… No hearing or eye protection!
