Visit Mattson Lower Harbor for the 2016 International Food Fest

Chasin' Steel jammin' out on stage
Chasin’ Steel playing at the 2016 International Food Festival in Mattson Lower Harbor

Marquette, MI  –  July 2, 2016  –  Cassidy and I walked down to Mattson Lower Harbor today for her very first International Food Fest! The weather was great and the food was of course, even better. Local vendors had tents up and down Lower Harbor. All the smells combining for an amazing sensation you just can’t deny when walking through the park.

Cassidy and I made sure we got there in time to see our dear friend and on-air show host, Adam Carpenter play at the festival. Adam and his band, Chasin’ Steel, entertained the crowd for just over an hour doing originals and fantastic covers like their version of “Wagon Wheel”!

If you haven’t made it out to the Lower Harbor for Food Fest yet, make sure you get on down there! It’s running all evening, Sunday and Monday as well. Some of the vendors include K’s Oriental, Vangos, Irontown Pasties, Steinhaus, and Sweet Basil Deli. If you’re looking for recommendations on which vendor to hit up first, Cassidy and I both highly recommend the Mexican Street Corn from Outlanders! We both got the delicious sweet corn with cilantro mayo and parmesan cheese and it was fantastic! There is also an impressive amount of bounce houses on site from Double Trouble DJ’s!

The event is great for the whole family, so bring your family, enjoy some great music and fantastic food! – But please leave the dogs at home.
